the $399 version includes HD capable cables, a Hard Drive (worth 100 bucks on its own) and Wireless controllers.

The $299 version comes with only Standard AV cables, no Hard Drive, and wired controllers.

There is a standard 1 year warranty for the 360, and a standard 3 year warranty for “general hardware failure”. These warranties don’t cost extra. They come with the hardware.
